Colorado Kayak Supply claims national award for Retailer of the Year 2007

Buena Vista local shop, Colorado Kayak Supply, won top honors at the 19th annual Canoe & Kayak Paddlesports Industry Awards, announced at C&K’s Outdoor Retailer Awards Ceremony in Salt Lake City Utah. This is the second time that CKS has received this national award in the past 3 years.

Hobie Kayaks is the Boat Manufacturer of the Year; NRS is the Accessory Manufacturer of the Year; and Colorado Kayak Supply is the Retailer of the Year for 2007. The annual awards are determined by a vote among paddlesports industry members, and recognize excellence and outstanding achievement in the promotion, sales, and service of paddlesports.

 “We are thrilled to once again receive the Retailer of the Year Award in 07” says Colorado Kayak Supply’s owner Chad Gorby. “ We are so fortunate to have such dedicated and motivated staff to support our efforts and provide such excellent customer service – we certainly wouldn’t have received this award without them.”

For the Retailer Award, manufacturers had to determine which retailer best exemplifies the following: excellence through sponsorship and support of paddlesports events at the regional and local level; education and community support; building awareness and sales with advertising and/or promotion at the local, regional, and national level; properly fitting equipment to the needs of customers; and providing outstanding customer service after the sale.
