Best day of paddling ever:  Full moon run on the Rio Grande when it was flowing 9,000cfs with My friend Lars. The catch was that the moon never showed, Heavy clouds covered it up as we launched. Kayaking was all by instinct that night and it was totally mind-blowing. It made me feel more alive that I had ever felt before. Never did find out how Lars did, Rumour has it that he is now living in Cali.
