The Perfect Vacation is: Paddling anywhere that has good whitewater with a great crew. Preferably in an area none of us have been but that doesn’t matter much. The trip would definitely have to include watching the boys make a fool of themselves by singing ugly karaoke or hitting on chicks.

Best day of paddling ever: Whoa….that's a tough one! I would have to go with creekin up in the UP of MI with two of my best paddling buddies less than 2 weeks after my first surgery for cancer. I started my treatments the following week and was in quite a bit of pain. The river took all of that away and the memories I have of running a drop then looking up to see my buddies style the line has to be one of the best moments on the river I can think of!!!

I truly love to paddle and make paddling films for fun. I help out with Colorado's very own "First Descents" - A kayak camp for young adults with cancer which was started by Gypsum’s Brad Ludden. I have been doing that even before I got cancer. I also love to show people the insane quality of whitewater we have here in the eastern midwest. "Where?!?!" you ask!!
