The Surftech Paddle Guard is designed to protect the edges of the paddle blade from damage from rocks and other hard surfaces you may come across. Use of the Paddle Guard will not affect the performance of the paddle. The kit also includes a tough urethane tape that is to be wrapped over the ends of the Guard and along the "neck" of the paddle. This tape will keep the Guard from peeling off the blade and protect the "neck" of the paddle from damage.
Kit includes: Paddle Guard edging, tough urethane tape, quick curing glue, and easy to follow instructions.
