- Surf Colorado Apparel (I created these T’s and Hoody’s so please buy some so I can feed my cat).

Squad Bio:
Hometown: Washington DC.
Currently Resides: Crested Butte, CO
Years in the paddle sports industry: 6
Favorite place to paddle: Wherever I get to paddle the kind of rivers and creeks I like paddling without having to worry about work or anything besides paddling. Namely, British Columbia, Chile, New Zealand, California and of course every weekend in Colorado! Pretty much wherever there’s good whitewater though…my favorite is going to new places, experiencing different cultures and doing “personal 1st descents”.
Why I paddle: Because watching TV and playing X-box sucks. Really though… take all the cheesy things people on kayak videos have said about the adventure of the unknown, the awesome people, the feeling of finishing a challenging run, etc…, etc… and make it my answer for this question….I feel all that.
When not paddling, what are you doing?: Working and talking about kayaking, putting kayaking related stuff on the CKS website and doing kayaking related marketing and customer service. When not working OR kayaking I like to spend time with my wife, snowboard during the cold months, learn how to surf on vacations to the beach, and in general get outside as much as possible. There’s a lot of mountain biking around here in the ‘off season’ and that can be fun too.
Favorite kayaking flick: Whichever one shows up as a free shop copy at CKS and that I haven’t seen 100 times yet. Umm, that’s a toss up between The 7 Rivers Expedition, Valhalla and Twitch 2000. I also like the LVM’s because they stay fresh and humorous with good production quality
