this knife saved my life. I don't go out without two of them now. they are so easy to paddle with that two is better than one. literally, this knife saved my life.
A great river rescue knife. The holster keeps the knife edges hidden, and makes this one of the more secure knives I've used.
And the bottle opener is awesome.

Size doesn't matter especially when it comes to the copilot. I prefer its smaller size because it has less chances to get stuck on things and get pulled off. It also has all the same things as the larger pilot like the serrated edge and all important bottle opener so that is also a plus.
The NRS Co Pilot Knife is a smaller version of the Pilot knife. The Co Pilot comes with some great features: smooth and serrated cutting edges, blunt safety tip, bottle opener, etc. The Compact design fits great on a PFD knife tab.
NRS's Co Pilot Knife Features:
The Co-Pilot has both very-sharp smooth and serrated sections.
The blunt tip design protects against unintentional puncture of your gear (rafts) or yourself. Also doubles as a flat-head screwdriver.
The unique sheath firmly locks the knife in place and only lets it go when you squeeze both sides of the release.
The contoured handle and rubberized grip gives you maximum control of the blade.
The sheath clip attaches firmly to a PFD lash tab.
Also included in the handle are a bottle opener and an oxygen tank valve wrench
