Top 5 gear picks from CKS:
AT2 Superlight - This paddle is tough as nails, but light as a feather
Fluid Solo - A displacement hull boat with great speed that has an subtle edge for that provides excellent maneuverability. I haven’t paddled a boat with more durable plastic, this thing can take a beating.
Kokatat GMER Drysuit - This drysuit is bone dry and built with materials made to last. It’s also nice to have the excellent customer service and quality control of one of the most trusted brands in the industry.
Stohlquist Bunny Suit - A perfect complement to any drysuit. Combine the two and you can virtually paddle year round.
Shread Ready Standard Fullface - This helmet’s sturdy construction, adjustability and full coverage inspire confidence the instant you put it on. Tremendous quality for an unbeatable price.

The Perfect Vacation is: There's nothing more relaxing than waking up on a sandy beach of the Colorado River just as the sun begins to radiate off the red canyon walls. The class V+ gnar has its place but cruisin Westwater or Cataract without a worry in the world is just about perfect in my book.
Hobbies other than kayaking: swimming (in a pool), playing guitar, reading, photography
Favorite website: www.kayaksession.com, Mountain Buzz
Favorite paddling video: Wildwater
Best day of paddling ever: I don't think any kayaker could pick just one, this sport is just too damn fun. I'll always remember the first big rapid that I ran blind, Bucking Bronco on Bluegrass Creek; or the first, second and third times I got flushed down the Cauldron on Lake Creek; or the day I pulled off my first loop. I mean there comes a point when your smile just can't get any bigger and I'm lucky enough to say that for me that occurs more often than not.
