These are great pogies. They keep my hands warm down into the low teens and are super easy to get your hands in and out of. The neoprene is textured to make it more durable, like the neoprene on quality sprayskirts. The cavernous hand opening does allow a lot of water to enter, especially when surfing, but it's worth that trade off to be able to get your hands in and out so easily. If you're willing to spend an extra $10, go for the Snapdragon Hyper Hands because the coating prevents them from absorbing as much water which makes them lighter. When the temperature is in the 30s or 40s I prefer the IR Microwave Handwarmers because they are much lighter yet still easy to get your hands in and out of. But overall, the Snapdragon Hot Hands are fantastic and are highly recommended.
