At 6’ tall with size 11.5 feet, I have jamming my feet into kayaks for a long time. My feet were abused and kayaking was always painful until I started using the Happy Feet. Now, sitting in a kayak is actually pretty comfortable.
It takes just a minute to mold the Happy Feet and it holds its shape after you create a vacuum seal. With daily use, it is typically a month before I have to make an adjustment.
A couple years ago someone gave me a molded foam block that comes standard with another company’s boats. It came with shims to adjust the size and already had the basic foot shape. I decided I had nothing to lose and started shaping the block. After hours of work and frustration, I had made no progress and threw the block away. I went paddling with my Happy Feet and felt stupid for wasting my time with anything else.

Jackson Kayak Happy Feet - Small, Large, Large 150, XL
The Jackson Kayak Happy Feet Foot bag: Small, Large, Large (150) and XL is going to change the way you think about comfort and adjust-ability in a kayak.
Tuck your feet into the bean bag and get them super comfy, then close the valve and you have your footprint proudly placed in the Happy Feet Footbag. Then pump the bulb which inflates the adjustment bladder and you will tighten up bag until you have the right amount of pressure to give you the control you like. Get to the bottom of the rapid or pull into an eddy and hit the release valve, now you have excess room again and can lift your knees out easily to relax.
What size Happy Feet Footbag do you need?
You will need to remove the existing footbrace from your kayak. Once you do that, how much foot room do you have? If there is not much wiggle room around your feet, get the small footbag. If you do have some space, go for the large. If you are having trouble deciding, you can always get a small bag, and add minicell inside the bow of the boat to bring the bag closer to you.
Happy Feet 150: 50% more beans in the bag to provide more support, a more solid feel, and easier to shape perfectly to your feet! Replace your original Happy Feet if you are not maxing out the size of the kayak (super tall or big-footed boaters that just fit in the boat should stick with the original Happy Feet).
