I'd normally sugest you take EJ's review with a grain of salt (he can't really be un-biased ;-) ), but he is spot on. I got into a Zen75 after being out of hard-boating for over a decade. This boat is amazing! Fast, friendly, comfortable, surfy, forgivinging, boofable, and easy to roll. On my first time back in the water, I ran class 3-3+. Never flipped and hit my second attempt at a flatwater roll. Just point it where you want to go and it is there. Only problem was I kept having to throw backpaddles in so I wouldn't run over my lead/safety boater. It is fast! I am fully expecting to take this boat into harder/creeky water without much difficulty. Love it!

I haven't been as excited about a new model in a long time as the Zen. It really makes river running more fun with easier surfing, easier rolling, more comfort, more speed, and is even lighter weight than anything of the category.
The Jackson Kayak Zen is JK's answer to the river running boat. This kayak is a great option for beginners, with its comfort and rolling ease. Expert's will love it as well, making it their big water kayak.
The JK Zen is going to provide you with that traditional river running look and feel with all the benefits of a modern efficient hull and state of the art ergonomics and outfitting. The Zen is going to give a whole new generation of boaters the ability to experience attainments, enders, and the fast flowing river running experience that so many of us built our paddling lives on.
With 3 sizes (small, medium and large) Jackson Kayak provides this kayak to any sized boater, making it the ideal kayak for schools and clubs. The small, with a weight range of 70-150 lbs, is a great size for kids.
