Home Town:  Lexington, KY

Paddling days per year:  Approximately 35-40.  I have a mortgage, a car payment, and a daughter in college.  Otherwise, there'd be more, a lot more.

Favorite place to paddle:  Hmmmm......Little River of the Smoky Mountains, TN.  Gauley River in WV.  Russell Fork Gorge (low water) in VA/KY.

Why I paddle:  Easy one.  Besides the fun and fellowship, I feel no closer to my Creator than I do when I am on the water.

Favorite Kayaking flick:  Don't have one but the best flick ever is Pulp Fiction.

What I do when the river is dry:  Pout about the river being dry.  Am proud to say that I've recently become member of Team River Runner with the Veteran's Administration.  We are taking hospitalized veterans out and putting them on the water in kayaks.  We even have one guy paralyzed from the waist who has developed a roll and is whitewater paddling.
