The Perfect Vacation is: Any trip with good friends where the primary objective is to paddle, eat, drink, sleep, then repeat.

Favorite website: The Range Life, Oregon Kayaking, Mountainbuzz

Recent playlist on my MP3 player: On the top of the rotation; M Ward, KEXP Music that Matters Podcast, Ben Harper - Both Side of the Gun, Bob Dylan - Modern Times, Manu Chao, and of course the Grateful Dead these days disk three of the Dick's Pick Volume 18 - Dane County Coliseum, Madison, WI, 2/3/78 & Uni Dome, University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls IA, 2/5/78 is being played often.

Best day of paddling ever:  Well there are a lot "best days" but a few of top pics would be an early season mid week run on the Big South with Dot.com where we blue angled almost the entire run while having the whole run to ourselves, my first top to bottom run of the North Fork with a solid local crew, and dropping into the big four on Yule Creek outside of Marble, CO.

Words:
Stay true to why you paddle and don’t get caught in all the back channel BS.  For me, I paddle to experience and see places that a lot of people don’t even know exist while sharing those experiences with good friends.  You may be driven by something else. Regardless of what it is follow that passion and you'll never regret it.
Work to try and protect the resources that we enjoy so much.  Join AW, get involved with your local conservation groups, make your voice heard on issues that are important to you.
