The LL XP10 is a very versatile Boat especially suited to the larger Paddler at 250lbs and six foot 4 inches it easily carries myself and around 25lbs of kit I would not recommend it for a 300lb paddler as the previous review and would say about 275 lbs all in is the limit without affecting performance, it is my 2nd XP 10 I have done everything in them.
The build quality is excellent however there are minor adjustments that need to be made to get the very best from this excellent boat.
Remove the footrest screws skeg control cable support screws and re install them with a liberal coating of transparent silicone sealant.
Remove the Mild steel retaining split pin that secures the cotter pin which fixes the skeg control cable to the lever (just behind seat ) replace this with a stainless steel split ring. They corrode very quickly costs cents /Pennies.
Install a Watershed Salmon Stowfloat in the bow as there is zero bouyancy and the boat will sink bow first ( The Salmon stowfloat was designed specifically for the XP9 10.
Drill two small holes at the base of the front internal plastic pillar support as it fills with water and only partially drains half way down on emptying if you dont do this you have to exit and invert the boat to drain it, your pump or sponge cannot get this water out.
In Anything above grade 4 water it makes sense to install a retaining strap to the rear hatch Careful examination of the photos in the LLogic catalogue shows that they have done this to the XP10s they paddle. I used duct Tape as a contingency initially just in case the rear hatch blows, which has happened otherwise in all but the biggest water it is pretty bombproof.
The seal is so good that provided you have put some silicone on the skeg mounting screw keel area the stowage compartment will remain dry for prolonged periods.
I use additional Watershed bags as bouyancy when not carrying overnight kit.
On a hot day as the water cools the air inside the compartment it can take a pressure seal and be extremely difficult to remove the hatch cover. The trick is to remove the OEM retaining bungee which is pretty useless and kneel or stand on the rear deck to pop the hatch.
I may sound over critical but once you have made the above mods it is a delight to paddle very well made otherwise extremely comfortable outfitting.
In addition to extensive river use have used my boats in heavy surf paddled up to 6 NM offshore in force 4-5 seas with no problems whatsoever.
Get one you will love it.
If LL read this please put a couple of steel clip attachments just behind the cockpit as per other boats in the range. helps to rescue the boat when pinned.
And perhaps put some foam or bouyancy in the front pillar.

The XP is the boss kayak! This is a boat that is great for beginners looking for the all time easiet boat to roll that has ever been built! XP is 10 foot 3, so its fast, but has moderate rocker in the bow and stern, so it is surprisingly easy to turn and maneurver in tight spots. Paddlers from 180 to 300lbs will find this a very comfy boat with the LL bad ass outfitting system...nothing compares to B.A. outfitting, its leading the industry in its design and comfort level without sacrificing "customizing fit" needed to roll and navigate rapids. The XP has a spring loaded intergral Skeg pronounced, "SK Egg" not "SKag". The skeg can be deployed with a lever on the right side of the cockpit. With the skeg up, this whitewater boat can tackle moderalty technical rapids and the biggest water. When you hit the flats or crusing flatwater, drop the skeg lever. No more washouts or unintended eddy outs. The skeg really helps this boat go straight with ease. For those learning XP is 10.
