These shoes are not for the California paddler. They make granite seem like oiled glass. I fell wearing them on a portage on the Upper NF Kaweah. I ran Brush Creek into the Kern and had to take them off as they made me slip and nearly fall over a 18' drop.
The NRS Attack Shoes are the perfect water shoe for the rigors of kayaking. This shoe handles a long hike in to the put in as well as long, hard, rocky scouts. The NRS Attack Shoe has an improved HyperGripâ„¢ sole and integrated heel-to-arch strap. From put-in to take-out, NRS Attack Shoes will take you anywhere.
NRS's Attack Shoe Features:
Improved HyperGrip sole provides impressive traction on both wet and dry surfaces.
Multiple drainage points in the sole and upper allow water to easily escape, while keeping out sand and grit.
The adjustable arch strap with side-release buckle snugs the shoe to your foot for stability and stay-put assurance - in the water or on the trail.
A separate heel strap prevents ride up as you step.
Cushy 2.5-mm neoprene construction supports your foot while retaining classic thermal capabilities.
Tough rubber toe and heel cup protect your foot from the bumps and bashing of portage and scouting.
Rugged PVC-coated woven polyester material wrapped around the sides of the shoe and across the top of the toes gives impact protection and improves lateral stability.
