The Perfect Vacation is: Piling into a packed vehicle with my brother and a few other choice companions and driving to some remote paddling destination while drinking inordinate amounts of coffee. Upon arrival we can commence boating until our backs and feet hurt, we can hardly put in another stroke and the thought of putting on wet kayak gear one more time makes us want to take up golf.

Hobbies other than kayaking: Skiing, playing music, sailing (ìyachtingî actually), knitting, climbing, rafting, bocce, swimming, billiards, scratch tickets, etc.
