The Everest is my go to boat for expedition paddling. It is also great for bigger paddlers. At 6' and 148 lbs I am well below the weight range for the boat. Even with twelve days of food, ropes and other climbing gear on a recent trip, this boat was still easily controlled. Not what I was expecting being a smaller person. I think that the design of the boat still performed for me under these conditions speaks for itself.

I weigh 195 and this boat rips for me. I love it in almost all situations! If you want a little more tracking than the burn go with the everest.

Yes, I work for Pyranha so this is a bit biased but this boat rocks! I am 5'10" and 175lb so definately on small side for this boat technically. I have put a seat pad under the Connect 30 pad to raise myself up and it makes a huge difference! It locks you in to the outfitting and gives me much better control over the boat. This boat is fast and maneuverable. I paddle the Green in NC alot and this boat has really helped me with lines that I have not had confidence in running before, ie direct at Gorilla. I have always and I mean always caught the eddy in the notch. Close to 400 runs of Gorilla and only tried to go direct a handful of times. Jerry's Baddle race is coming up so I thought I better start trying to dial in the direct line and the Everest really gives me confidence to do this. Anyway, just thought I would post a little bit about this great boat.

The Pyranha Everest is a great river running/creeking crossover that carries speed to get you down the river and hauls gear when you want to pack for an overnight. The rocker profile fits the bill for the creeking paddlers but this boat is also fun for the cruzen' river running crowd. At 82.5 gallons, you will better your chances of staying on top of the water and carrying speed. The Everest's name was inspired by the first descent of Mt. Everest’s river: the Dudh Kosi, 31 years ago.
