CKS - Colorado Kayak Supply maintains a large rental fleet in our Buena Vista store location including kayaks, rafts, inflatable kayaks, paddle boards, gear and accessories. We rent gear for both flat water and on river environments.
Rentals are available Spring thru September each year.

Reservations are recommended. Equipment is reserved on a first come first basis. Reservations are non refundable so be sure you have your dates correct and you are committed to coming and having some fun.

Rental Package Prices

Economy Package - Just the basics to get you on the lake.

Full day (9am - 5p) $60 / Half day (9am - 1pm or 1pm - 5pm) $40

In this package you get 1 single person kayak or board of your choice, 1 lifejacket/pfd, and a basic paddle. This is the perfect choice for an easy day on the lake. We also have a tandem upcharge that provides 2 pfds and 2 paddles for an additional $10 for a half day or $15 for a full day.

The Works Package - Everything you need for the river.

Full day only (9am - 5p) $75

This package includes the 5 essentials, flotation, outfitting, a paddle jacket, booties and a wetsuit. The tandem kayak upcharge of $20 includes everything for two people. (No discount if select items are not used.)

Whitewater Kayaks, Stand Up Paddle Boards, Flatwater Kayaks and Inflatable Kayaks:

Rates: Full day $45 / Half Day $30

Tandem $55

Raft Rates: Rafts Otter 13 - $105 or Tributary 9.5 SB - $70-Included paddles and repair kit and pump. Frame and 3 Oars are an additional $45

Paddles:

Rates: Basic $12 Full Day / $8 Half Day

CKS also rents wetsuits, booties, helmets, paddle jackets and much more.

Requirements: CKS requires individuals renting equipment for the rivers to have previous paddling or river running experience. The individual renting the equipment assumes all responsibility for their own safety as well as the safe return of all equipment rented. CKS maintains the right to refuse rentals to anyone for any reason. If you are uncertain of your skills CKS STRONGLY recommends taking a lesson from Rocky Mountain Outdoor Center.
Lake and flat-water paddlers will be directed to the local resources close to CKS. No paddling experience is required for flat water and or lake paddling rentals.
