Stand Up Paddling Boards are the key to SUP. There are three main types of boards to choose from: inflatable, composite, and soft-top. Inflatable SUP boards are great for rocky areas, they won't dent, and they tend to be pretty stable. They're easily transported, just unroll and fill with air. When you're done just roll them up and throw them in your vehicle. Composite boards are usually foam cores, with high end resins and strong fiberglass material coating the outside. These are very stable, quick, and super efficient and fun to learn on. While they have hard tops, they usually come with deck pads for additional grip. You can also get deck dots for a larger traction area. Soft top boards usually have a foam core with a slick skin bottom. These give the board a springy and soft feeling on top, and protection and performance on the bottom. These are very stable, with a comfortable top that provides fun for hours. |
