These arm pads are nice and stout but you have to have popeye arms to beable to strap them to you snug enough. Constantly sliding down your arm.

for $30 these things are sick, the new ones have a sleeve and 2 straps, crisscross them and thank yourself for buying em when u get pined up against a rock and have to brace with your elbow to get off.

Snip Snip = great pads

I tried these elbow pads out and was somewhat impressed with them, especially for the $30 I paid for them. They provided excellent coverage, but the guard for the radial bone on your arm was bulky, stuck out, and got caught on rocks, etc when used to brace. So I cut it off, sewed the velcro back in place, and off I went.

For me this made a mediocre elbow pad into a great pad.

You don't really need the rigidity here either, the main area for sharp blows is on the elbow itself, the radial bone still has soft padding, just not the hard shell that kept getting in the way.

I love these Shred Ready Tsunami Elbow Pads. Compared to other brands they are a bit bulky but I think they off the best fore arm and elbow protection. For kayakers going on narrow creeks this is the best choice.

A great product. These used to have problems with getting ripped off your arms in big holes, but they've been redesigned with a little forearm sleeve to keep them from falling off. HUGE IMPROVEMENT! Super tough 'bow pads to keep you smilin' on the steep creeks. These are the only elbow pads that I'll ever use!
