Setting - July in Washington DC- HOT! This is far superior to sex wax in hot conditions. Sex wax melts and runs - very dissappointing, so i tried some stonyboater muffin - LOVED IT! You need to put this stuff on while your paddle is dry. It doesn't go on wet paddles very well. It's great and gives even the daintiest person the vicegrip of a longshoreman. Everyone of my friends likes this stuff, but it will give you such a grip that you might get a blister if you have soft hands. The sexwax may go on a wet paddle better, but in hot weather, Stonyboater stays longer and doesn't run/melt and get slick like sexwax. Four starts because I haven't tried alot of paddle wax

This stuff is ok. It works really well for a day or two and then the wax just turns melty and sticky and, believe it or not, MORE slippery!
Use tape on your paddle for extra grip!

Sorry, but I have to give this stuff a bad review.
The wax seems to be too hard to use on a paddle, as you can never seem to rub enough on there to last more than 20 minutes. Then, after it wears off, it leaves a residue on your paddle that is almost more slick then using no wax at all. If you are looking for something comparable to the SexWax brand, this isn't it.

This wax sux. It doesn't coat the shaft no matter how much you try to rub on, and it only lasts for about three strokes. Don't waste your money on this stuff. I think rubbing a candle on your paddle would work better. They should call it "StoneyButter" paddle lube. Absolute Crap.
Stonyboater paddle wax is a true paddlesports wax. It has 25 - 30 Degree F higher melting point than the competition, which keeps it on your paddle where it belongs. You can get multiple days use with one application and the product works in both warm and cold environments. 100% all natural ingredients and environmentally friendly.
Stonyboater Paddle Wax:
Improve your grip significantly.
Allow you to hold paddle with less strength but maintain control. This reduces fatigue to the muscles of the hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders.
Paddle Harder longer with Stonyboater paddle wax.
On cockpit Rim keep skirt in place in heavy water or when stretching skirt to allow for overthruster.
Nose plugs: All natural formula is safe for skin, apply some wax directly to nose or nose plugs and they'll stay put in most conditions with no more slippage.
Dry top: works great as an additional seam sealer on a leaky drytop, and when applied to the neck gasket on a latex drytop (or to the neck) it helps prevent chaffing and the look of just trying to hang yourself after a long day on the water.
Tents: great seam sealer on leaky tent seams. Simply soften wax a little and rub onto tent seams.
