Astral Bouyancy Company was founded in 2002 on the banks of the Rocky Broad River near Asheville, NC. They a focused group of paddlers, designers, engineers, and regular good people. They spend most of their time creating cool stuff and trying their best to please our customers. Astral is a small open business who's success is judged by their customers and their own personal satisfaction, doing the best possible work for the most good.
They specialize in making innovative and environmentally considerate buoyancy products, organic cotton shirts made with REHANCE dyeing methods, recycled ASTRAL byproducts (Astro Pad dog bed). They started the PVC-free movement in the PFD industry using GAIA and PE foams as well as Organic Kapok for buoyancy. All scrap materials and byproducts are recycled, nothing is thrown away. They also developed the world's first breathable life jacket using AIRESCAPE technology (patent pending).
