1. El Jefe for sure takes care of me

2. I’ve really enjoyed long multi-days with the Prijon Hercules. The only problem is there is too much room and it’s a little too easy to over pack, which only becomes apparent when portaging.

3. Astral 'pouch' Spectra Throw Rope has came in handy quite a bit, is always with you but stays out of the way

4. Jack's Plastic Paco Pad – more comfortable than my bed!

5.  IR Thick Skin – add 15 degres of warmth to your sleeping bag

Work:  techie computer stuff
Years Paddling:  5
Top 3 Rivers:  The Embudo and Brazos here in NM, Vallecito is way up there, and then about every river in Chile and New Zealand were amazing
The Perfect Vacation is:  Long days on the water, nights around the campfire
Hobbies other than kayaking:  Driving big mt. bikes and backcountry skiing
Favorite website:  The Range Life would be right up there also since I’m a little bit of tech geek, so I love digg.com
Recent playlist on my MP3 player:  I’m still trying to kick the “black crack” aka vinyl records habit.  Most likely it will be something with a little thump in it.
Best day of paddling ever:  Just one, I have had too many amazing days to pick just one, but hopefully it will be my next one!

I started kayaking after finishing an Ironman triathlon where I realized 6 miles into the marathon that I forgot my socks.   The next day we wondered into CKS to inquire about camping around BV and realized that I wouldn’t need to use my torn up feet kayaking.  Ever since I have been completely hooked and every year I try to boat new rivers and see new places.  The beauty with kayaking is that it can be just as amazing to try a different line on a run you have done many times in your own back yard as going around the world to a new remote location.
