Favorite Paddling Destination: The Green, The Gauley, The New, The Ocoee, The Green Truss, The Farmlands, The Clackamas, The McKenzie, The Rogue, The Crooked, The Payette’s, The Deschutes, The Salmon, The Arkansas, The Animas, The Gunnison, The Grand Canyon, and Cataract Canyon.
Favorite place to
paddle:The Grand
Canyon; because it combines so many elements into one amazing
place. When you paddle the “Grand” you
lose yourself in the moment as you float for twenty-one days down one of the
most amazing canyons on the planet. The rapids
are exciting, but for the most part “stress-free." The steller camping and hiking make this
river trip a “must do” for any self-proclaimed, “river rat.”
Why do I paddle:I paddle because I love the adventure involved
with all river trips. To me, the word
“adventure” can represent anything from Stand Up Paddling down the local Milk
Run (class II) to a 10-day kayak self support trip down The Grand Canyon in
January.It’s all about getting out
there and enjoying nature, while harnessing the power of the water underneath
us to get from point A to point B; how fun is that?
When not paddling,
what are you doing?Single-speedMountain biking, Disc Golfing, Skiing,
rooting for the Denver Broncos, traveling.
River’s I look
forward to to paddling:The
Futalafu, The Zambizi, Middle Fork of the Salmon, Santa
Maria, Oaxaca, The Glama (Norway).
