The Yampa River through Steamboat Springs. It never gets old!
Tell us about your favorite paddling experience or biggest paddling achievement.
My first whitewater experience will always be one of my favorites. We did an over-nighter on the upper Colorado with 5 people and a dog crammed on a raft that was probably was too small for us. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend.
You're leaving for the Grand Canyon tomorrow. What is the one luxury item you packed for the trip?
I never hit the river without my Komatsu 20 BX50 Hyster Electric Forklift.
What do you do when you are not on the river?
Skiing, mountain biking, and seeing live music!
Final thoughts from Potter
Working at CKS has given me the opportunity to meet a lot of amazing people, and do a lot of amazing things. Having access to more kayaks, rafts, and SUPs than I deserve on these beautiful western rivers has put countless smiles on my face. I also found a big lizard at the warehouse one time which was pretty cool.
